Verses to read and meditate thereon from His Word: Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.(We know that God knows all things which to me is incredible; He knows all things and He knows each one of us that has ever lived on earth. He knows each loss that each one of us has borne; He can reverse the affects of loss because He knows what will appease each one of us. He wants us to know because in knowing we can adjust.) (Whatever we need to know about our loss can be uncovered if we persist in seeking Him for the answer. I have waited for years in some cases but would never quit asking; finally, He would give me the reason for my loss and understanding so that I could put it away from me.) Isaiah 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;(Because He has already borne our griefs and sorrows, we do not have to bear them. Grief and sorrow follow loss but if we can trust Him we do not have to bear them. In grief I have realized that we want to feel sad and abused; there is a comfort in it. But if we thrust that comfort aside and repeat His word to the enemy who brings grief, we will receive the true comfort with the burden lifted from us and new joy to replace the sadness.) Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”(Nothing is too hard for Him so He can reverse our losses. Peace to those who have lost loved ones. Reward for those who have given their lives to Him forsaking all else. Overwhelming love to those who have been forsaken. Fulfillment to those who have lost their way of life through circumstances beyond their control. Restoration for loss of health and wealth. He can do it all.) Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’(Here is His plea to us; we have to be willing–because we have the gift of choice–to ask Him. We have to call on Him. He cannot give us reasons, answers, and restoration without our cooperation. He cannot go against His own laws. He gave us the right to choose and He cannot force anything on us; we have to be willing to ask in order to receive.) Daniel 2:22 He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.(He repeats Himself in His Word because He knows that things that are important have to be repeated to us. Many times He calls to us and tells us that He will reveal the unknown which we need to know. We are told in His Word that many perish because of a lack of knowledge.) (In Mark, this verse goes on to say that things are hidden to be revealed; some things are hidden so that the enemy cannot pervert it before us. Sometimes, we are not ready for the truth of a loss. Many times when I have received an answer for my loss, I am surprised that I was part of the reason for the loss. Attitudes have to be changed and as He is the great teacher, He helps change them through loss; the good news is that He gives us a return for our loss when He is the teacher.) 1 Corinthians 2:10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.(The Holy Spirit is our guide and our helper; He talks to us as well. Learn to hear His voice and He will smooth our path so that losses can be avoided; however, we have to be willing to listen and obey.)
